Merry CHRISTmas

Christmas cards – we love sending them and receiving them – but then what.  What does one do with those lovely cards after the Christmas season is over?

The past couple of years we’ve been “recycling”them – to God~!  Each week we take one of the cards from our “Christmas Blessing Basket” and for that entire week, we pray for the person/couple/family who sent us that card.  Occasionally we contact them – maybe an email or a phone call – to let them know how special they are in God’s heart and in our lives.

Group from Crossroads Community Church

They swoop in for a “mini-retreat” each year for fun and fellowship. We always look forward to sharing our Inn with them but this year they blessed us even more than usual.

The picture on the right tells the story of their “tangible love”.

We love this group – thank you for blessing us again!

Typical Fall Scenery

Well, maybe this isn’t the typical scenery EVERYone sees this time of year, but here in Amish Country, this is “typical”.

Corn shocks  – standing as silent, vigilant guardians of the landscape; housing field mice and rabbits while awaiting their final destination as feed for horses and cattle.

For everything there is a time and a purpose.

The Finished Project

There isn’t a lot of difference in the color from before but the finished product looks GREAT~

Also, we are offering “Winter Specials” for groups during Nov., Dec., and Jan.   Be sure to check out our “For Others” page.

Home Improvements

This is one of those HUGE projects that doesn’t occur too often but, after 19 years, it was time to put a new roof on the Inn.  The color is very similar to what we had before but this time we opted for a metal roof to replace the shingles.

Thank you Mr. Yoder of Walnut Creek Roofing and your crew. We LOVE the new look.

Another Retreat of Blessings

In the years since this minitry began (in Wis. in 1997) there have been over 108 different Christian denominations blessed – from 57 different countries and 6 continents.

Because we never allow “shop talk, theology or doctrinal differences” into the conversations,  the focus is on God’s Love for all His people.

We will miss the smiles, laughter and love of this latest retreat group.

Beauty in The Country

There is something renewing and refreshing about living in this part of the country. With four distinct seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter – it’s nearly impossible to become ‘bored’ with the ever-changing sceneries.

The rolling hills lend to the majestic display of the muliple, vivid colors of the trees and foliage.

Wish you were here – really.
